## Description

The Jordanian Writers Association is a prominent cultural and intellectual institution established in Amman on May 19, 1974. Operating as an independent body, it focuses on the creative writing, research, and intellectual discourse within Jordan. The association provides a vital platform for authors and promotes various literary activities, enhancing the cultural landscape in the region.

The Jordanian Writers Association does not pursue financial gain but instead aims to support and develop the literary community. It has the authority to create branches across the kingdom, manage its finances, and implement its own regulations and programs.

Among its offerings are literary awards, seminars, and cultural events that encourage engagement with social and political themes. The association also publishes a magazine titled Awraq, which features significant contributions from its members. With a strong emphasis on fostering creativity and nurturing talent, the Jordanian Writers Association plays an essential role in promoting literature and culture in Jordan.
