A UFMG-trained physician with residency, master’s and doctoral qualifications in neurosurgery, he brings more than 30 years of experience and has participated in over 2,000 neurosurgical procedures. He is recognized as a pioneer of neuroendoscopy in Brazil and combines clinical care with scientific research, medical education and ongoing technical development. His practice treats complex conditions including hydrocephalus, brain tumors, craniosynostosis, spina bifida, tethered spinal cord, cerebral palsy, spasticity and childhood head trauma. Services include fetal surgery for selected malformations and minimally invasive neuroendoscopic procedures. Care is tailored to each child, with an emphasis on clear guidance, compassionate communication and preserving neurological function. Surgery is recommended only when its benefits and safety are supported; some children may be better served by clinical monitoring or complementary therapies. Dr. Aloysio leads pediatric neurosurgery services at Hospital Vila da Serra and Rede D’Or Biocor and provides follow-up care in collaboration with his team. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Childrens Health _(under Health)_ - ⛑ Medicine _(under Health)_ ## Links - [instagram](https://instagram.com/dr.costaval) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/iduyz8F3st/w/681/h/300/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793706346153) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/iduyz8F3st/w/150/h/150/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793706346337) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Desert | #a15321 | accent | | Chathams Blue | #1a3d7e | dark | | Raw Sienna | #d2994b | light | ## Fonts - -apple-system — asset _(system)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
