Since its launch in 2008, it has brought together municipalities, associations, regional parks and local enthusiasts to address light pollution, protect nocturnal biodiversity and celebrate the beauty of the starry sky. Events take place across France and, since 2023, in Quebec. The initiative is not a commercial product or service provider; it offers a public programme of activities and resources that communities can use to inform and engage residents.
