## Description

Joy Juice is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of adolescents and young adults affected by cancer through peer empowerment and art therapy. Founded in 2013 by Danny Alotta, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease as a teenager, the organization grew from his belief that looking good can help people feel good during a difficult journey. Joy Juice aims to bring that philosophy and supportive experiences to young people facing similar challenges.

The organization’s work includes projects and events designed to encourage connection, creativity, and confidence among teen and young adult cancer patients. Its Joy Juice Smile Tour takes these efforts on the road, with events planned in New York City and Los Angeles. The tour has partnered with the JCC Manhattan and the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center to put on a show for young cancer warriors.

Joy Juice also shares its founder’s story through the book Joy Juice: A Young Man’s Story About Chemo, Cancer & Good Fortune.
