## Description

Jute Products Development & Export Promotion Council (JPDEPC) is an industry-led body that plays a crucial role in marketing and promoting jute and jute diversified products. Established under the Indian Companies Act of 1956, the council aims to boost the export of jute goods. The management committee consists of members from the jute industry and government nominees.

JPDEPC undertakes various actions to support the jute industry. It actively participates in trade fairs, seminars, workshops, and buyer/seller meets both in India and abroad, facilitating interaction between suppliers and buyers to foster mutually beneficial business opportunities. The council conducts market studies to identify potential markets for Indian jute products, helping the government and stakeholders devise export policies and marketing plans. JPDEPC also encourages design development programs to incorporate innovative ideas aligned with fashion trends and international preferences.

Additionally, JPDEPC acts as a registering authority for exporters of jute and jute products, recognizing their contribution to the industry. The council coordinates between the government and jute industry members, striving to enhance infrastructure and support budding entrepreneurs. By fostering collaborations and addressing the needs of the industry, JPDEPC aims to make a significant contribution to the export of jute products and facilitate ease of doing business.
