Jesus People is a brand that originated in 1972 when a group of young Christian hippies settled in Chicago with the mission of courageously spreading the gospel. They began by living together communally, first in the basement of a local church before acquiring their own property. Throughout the years, Jesus People has taken on various forms to fulfill their purpose. They made a significant impact through their impactful music, with Resurrection Band leading the charge as pioneers of Christian hard rock. Another notable contribution was Cornerstone Magazine, a fearless publication that delved into the intersection of faith and culture from 1971 to 2003. The brand also hosted Cornerstone Festival, a beloved Christian music festival that attracted up to 20,000 attendees each summer for 29 years.
