Derbyshire’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is a public information resource that helps explain what people across the county need to support their health and wellbeing. Developed with leads and experts across health, it brings together current, relevant information to inform planning and decision-making for the community. Its framework is based on the Office for National Statistics Health Index and groups information into four domains: Demographics, Healthy People, Healthy Lives and Healthy Places. Topics range from population characteristics and personal wellbeing to physical and mental health, health behaviours, safety, living conditions and access to services. The resource includes Key Topic Summaries for a range of subjects, with further coverage being developed as part of Derbyshire’s ongoing JSNA transformation. Locality pages cover Amber Valley, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, High Peak, North East Derbyshire and South Derbyshire. The site also invites subject experts and leads to contribute their knowledge, helping build a broader and more informative assessment of health needs across Derbyshire.
