## Description

JSR Farms Ltd is a large, family-owned farming business based in East Yorkshire, near Driffield. Founded by John Sykes Rymer in 1958 and still owned by the Rymer family, the company has grown across generations while maintaining a commitment to quality, innovation and excellence in farming. It aims to produce quality British food in harmony with the land and environment, using modern approaches such as precision farming and advances in agricultural genetics.

The business spans food and farming, including arable production and stabiliser cattle, alongside property and leisure activities. JSR Farms also works in renewable energy and environmental initiatives, with a focus on carbon reduction, soil health and biodiversity, including biodiversity net gain. Its approach builds on a history of mixed farming and responsible care for the land, while supporting sustainable food production for the future.

Community involvement is another part of the company’s identity. JSR Farms supports local charities, schools and organisations across East Yorkshire, reflecting its strong regional roots and family-run values.
