## Description

The Judo-Sportverein Markdorf e.V. is a martial arts club in Markdorf, Germany, founded on February 9, 1979. Judo had previously been offered locally as a department of JSV Überlingen; after becoming independent, the club used donations from its founding members to purchase its first mats. Taekwondo joined in 1981, and the club later added Allkampf. In 2007, Allkampf was discontinued and replaced by Hapkido and Eskrima. Today, members can take part in all the club’s offerings without paying an additional departmental fee.

The club provides training in Judo, Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Eskrima, with activities that include youth participation, beginner courses, seminars, and examinations. Its Eskrima-related offerings include Filipino martial arts and weapons skills such as single-stick training and knife defense. The club also shares news about training, events, and demonstrations, and offers club T-shirts. Judo-Sportverein Markdorf is affiliated with the Badischer Judoverband and Taekwondo Union Baden-Württemberg, whose national organizations are part of Germany’s sports federation structure.
