## Description

Jugend musiziert is a prestigious national competition dedicated to the identification and support of musical talents in Germany. Established in 1963, it has evolved into a vital contributor to cultural youth education, recognized by Germany's Conference of Ministers of Education. The competition spans three stages: regional, state, and national, providing opportunities for young musicians to showcase their abilities at various levels. With participation from nearly one million children and teenagers since its inception, Jugend musiziert operates across 137 regions in Germany and 35 German schools abroad.

Participants can enter the competitions in several age categories, with application periods generally running from October to December each year, leading up to the regional competitions typically held in January and February. An essential part of the competition is the Jumu App, which allows users to engage with the program conveniently. Overall, Jugend musiziert remains committed to nurturing the next generation of musical talent, fostering creativity and excellence in the arts.
