## Description

Julia Douglas is an artist, web designer and writer whose work connects creative practice with stories about homes, people and place. As a visual artist, she explores the objects people live with and their relationships to home, transforming everyday things into playful works that tell stories. She also designs self-manageable websites for sole traders and small businesses, with a particular focus on artists, writers and arts organisations. Her approach helps clients present their work online while being able to manage their own websites.

Drawing on her experience as a Scottish creative living in France, Julia writes short essays about the histories held by old houses and the human lessons of running an artist residency. She is also co-founder of Studio Faire, which offers residencies in France. Across her art, design and writing, Julia brings together practical creative services and personal storytelling, sharing perspectives shaped by artistic work, life in France and years of residency experience.
