About

Description

Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP) is a transformative educational initiative that has empowered over 100,000 primary school students in Ireland since its inception in 2010. Designed to provide real-life learning experiences, JEP allows children to develop practical business skills while nurturing their creativity, independence, and problem-solving abilities. The program runs for 12 to 16 weeks during the school year, seamlessly integrating with the primary school curriculum.

Under the guidance of their teachers and inspired by local entrepreneurs, students embark on a journey to create their own businesses. They choose, invest in, and produce their own products or services from scratch, culminating in a school-hosted JEP Showcase Day where they sell their creations and enjoy the profits. JEP supports teachers by providing a comprehensive classroom kit and ongoing support through online resources, webinars, and direct communication.

The program encourages children to discover their strengths both as individuals and team members, fostering a sense of entrepreneurship from a young age. With a proven track record of success, JEP has inspired a significant number of students to aspire to become entrepreneurs in the future. Through this innovative program, children gain valuable skills, confidence, and a real-world understanding of business and commerce
