JUNITEC is the junior enterprise of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), bringing together university students to develop technology-focused solutions for businesses and society. Based in Lisbon, it combines academic rigour with market-oriented innovation, aiming to turn student talent into practical results. Its services include technology consulting and software engineering, alongside design and innovation. The consulting team manages and delivers technology projects, as well as collaborations with partners on technical and strategic challenges.

JUNITEC also runs the Innovation Hub, which supports students from idea development and validation through prototyping and investor presentations. Its mentoring, events and Apollo accelerator help advance startups and university spin-offs. Since 2017, the organisation has hosted TecStorm, a university hackathon where teams create projects across five thematic categories, supported by mentors and event services. Social responsibility is another part of its work, expressed through donations, volunteering and environmental, social and governance initiatives. With more than 80 active members and an alumni network, JUNITEC connects emerging talent with real-world opportunities to learn, innovate and build.
