**Jurnalul Pediatrului** is the official journal of the Romanian Society of Pediatric Surgery, dedicated to advancing the field of pediatrics through academic discourse and research dissemination. Founded 20 years ago by the PROFILAXIS FOUNDATION in Timisoara, the journal emerged from the need to enhance the visibility of pediatric topics that were underrepresented. 

It covers a broad spectrum of pediatric specialties, including neonatology, nephrology, psychiatry, and more, providing valuable insights through reviews and statistical analyses. The editorial team comprises 24 diverse members, enhancing the publication's quality and breadth by incorporating contributions from esteemed international professionals.

Jurnalul Pediatrului is published in English, making it accessible to a global audience and facilitating collaborations with foreign medical communities. As an open-access journal, it currently releases two issues annually, with plans to transition to a quarterly schedule. Indexed in respected databases, it remains committed to promoting high-quality research in pediatric healthcare practices while fostering international dialogue among professionals.
