## Description

Justice Rapid Response (JRR) is a global facility that rapidly deploys justice and human rights experts to support investigations into international crimes and serious human rights violations. Its work helps justice actors pursue accountability through approaches that are holistic, gender-sensitive and inclusive. JRR supports international and regional justice and human rights mechanisms, national jurisdictions, and civil society organizations through three programmes: the International Justice Programme, National Justice Programme and Civil Society Programme.

At the heart of its work is a roster of more than 750 experts, representing diverse professions, nationalities and languages, who can be deployed upon request. JRR also provides guidance on seeking expert support and offers calls for nominations for professionals interested in becoming certified experts. Its areas of focus include accountability for child rights and gender-based violence, transitional justice, environmental impacts of international crimes, digital investigations, and financial investigations and asset recovery. In addition to deployments, JRR contributes lessons and policy resources to discussions at forums including the United Nations Human Rights Council and the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute.
