Just Initiative is a holistic ministry dedicated to serving and caring for the poor in Tampa. Their mission is to make a positive impact on the community by addressing the key areas of Housing, Income Development, and Education. With a strong focus on empowering individuals and families, Just Initiative offers a range of programs and services.

One of their flagship programs is Petra House, an emergency bridge housing program that provides a safe haven for women and their children under 11 who are at risk of homelessness. This residential program not only offers shelter but also promotes education as a means to break the cycle of poverty. Additionally, Just Initiative runs the WE Program, which caters to families with children up to 8 years old, offering person-centered case management, mentoring, educational workshops, and basic needs assistance.

Through their Community Care program, Just Initiative helps alleviate suffering and fosters individual and family stability and growth. They provide basic needs support, as well as a Free Boutique, Drop-In Center, and case management services. In addition to these programs, Just Initiative also had The Zone, an initiative focused on supporting children through education, mindfulness, and advocating for parents in the education system.
