## Description

Juxi, also presented as Sally Galotti Healthcare Design®, creates thoughtfully designed visual environments for hospitals, with a particular focus on helping children feel more comfortable and supported during treatment. The project grew from illustrator, designer and cartoonist Sally Galotti’s experience painting hospital walls for children with AIDS in Romania. Positive responses from young patients led to further work in Italian paediatric units and formal recognition by Italy’s Ministry of Health.

Juxi’s core service is Umanizzazione Pittorica®, an artistic approach to hospital spaces that combines themed murals and visual wayfinding. Story-inspired images and recognizable landmarks can help children navigate a ward while making clinical settings feel more welcoming and familiar. Projects are developed with attention to artistic, technical and psychological considerations, as well as hospital safety and health standards. The portfolio includes paediatric wards, playrooms, surgery and specialist departments at hospitals in Italy, with some projects supported or donated by associations.
