## Description

The Japan Marching League (JML) is the most historic walking league in Japan, comprising 19 walking events across the nation. Established in 1989, JML serves as a hub for walker交流 (interaction) and contributes to academic research on walking. The organization hosts a Walking Summit every two years and promotes walking events throughout the country, encouraging public participation. Currently, over 13,000 individuals hold JML passports, allowing them to participate in various sanctioned events upon completing a distance of over 20 kilometers, with exceptions for children and seniors.
