## Description

The Japan Wheelchair Tennis Association (JWTA) is a dedicated organization established in 1991, focusing on promoting and advancing wheelchair tennis across Japan. As a recognized non-profit entity, JWTA plays a crucial role in nurturing talent and enhancing competitive opportunities for athletes, with its mission centered on two primary pillars: athlete development and sport promotion.

JWTA organizes a wide range of events, including junior tournaments, national championships, and international competitions, such as the BNP Paribas World Team Cup. The association actively supports its members through training camps, guidance for international ranking participation, and initiatives to promote the sport broadly. They also prioritize anti-doping education to ensure fair play within the sport.

Through several partnerships and funded programs, JWTA continues to support the next generation of athletes, fostering a vibrant community around wheelchair tennis in Japan while striving for excellence in upcoming Paralympic events, including Paris 2024.
