## Description

JX Fund – European Fund for Journalism in Exile supports independent media and journalists forced to leave war zones or crisis regions, helping them continue their work from safety. Operating as an international clearing house, it assesses the needs of exiled outlets, connects them with experienced partners and experts, coordinates international support, and directs assistance where it is most needed. Its work spans media organizations from countries including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Russia, Syria, and Ukraine, with journalists working across many countries.

JX Fund offers financial and practical support for different stages of exile. Its services include emergency and longer-term grants, guidance for newly displaced journalists, help establishing sustainable editorial operations, and support for safe workspaces and co-production facilities. It also develops projects addressing organizational strategy, revenue generation, technology, content production, and cross-border collaboration. Through partnerships and targeted initiatives, JX Fund responds to changing needs and crisis situations while seeking to avoid duplication and strengthen existing support networks.
