## Description

Jyut Dictionary is an online Cantonese dictionary and downloadable language reference for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Designed for flexible, detailed lookups, it can automatically detect search language and find more than 300,000 words and expressions using Jyutping, Pinyin, English, or traditional and simplified Chinese. Entries can include traditional and simplified forms, pronunciations in Jyutping, Yale, Pinyin, or Bopomofo, parts of speech, and example sentences. Users can also click a speaker icon to hear Cantonese or Mandarin pronunciations, with audio available for words and phrases on Windows and macOS.

The dictionary brings together resources including CC-CEDICT, CC-CANTO, words.hk, Wiktionary, Kaifangcidian, and the Unihan database, offering more than 700,000 definitions across English, Cantonese, and Standard Written Chinese. It also provides access to over 150,000 example sentences from sources such as Tatoeba, Wiktionary, and words.hk. Optional add-ons expand the collection with further dictionaries and multilingual resources, including French, German, and Mandarin materials. Jyut Dictionary is available as standard downloads, with portable versions offered for Windows and macOS.
