## Description

The K100 Mile Relay is an annual Alberta running event that brings teams together for a 100-mile race through the spectacular landscapes of Kananaskis Country. Established in 1987, it is described as Canada’s original relay race and invites teams of ten to run from Longview, over Highwood Pass—Canada’s highest paved road—to Kananaskis Village. Held each June, the event combines a challenging mountain course with a focus on teamwork, shared achievement, and community.

K100 provides information and resources to help teams prepare for race weekend, including course details, relay-leg planning guidance, an event package, frequently asked questions, and practical event information. Participants can register their team, plan their race, and take part in the event alongside fellow runners, with opportunities to support teammates and enjoy the mountain scenery. The organization also shares race results, event updates, and information about its partners, whose support helps make the race possible. With a tradition spanning decades, the K100 offers runners a memorable team adventure and a chance to experience one of Alberta’s iconic relay events.
