## Description

Pirkanmaan Kaarikoirat ry is a Finnish association dedicated to promoting opportunities for skateboarding in the Pirkanmaa region. It brings together local riders and supports participation through indoor skate halls, scheduled sessions, lessons, events, and community activities. Its venues include Muovitehdas and Kenneli D.I.Y., which offer sessions for skateboarding and scootering, as well as BMX at Muovitehdas. The weekly programme includes times for beginners and low-speed riders, adults aged 30 and over, and girls, women, and non-binary participants. Skate schools provide opportunities to learn, while hall rules and etiquette help visitors understand how to use the spaces.

The association also hosts events such as skate jams and a secondhand skate market, where people can sell, exchange, or find skate-related equipment and clothing. Both halls are available to rent for public or private occasions. People can apply to become members and take part in the association’s activities. Kaarikoirat also offers work opportunities, including roles for young adults and people experiencing long-term unemployment.
