## Description

Ka. Ge. Grün-Weiß Gevelsberg von 1978 e.V. is a carnival association in Gevelsberg, a city in southern North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. One of the city’s two carnival clubs, it works alongside KG Hippendorf to preserve local carnival traditions and bring people together. The association welcomes both active participants and supporters, with a focus on community, heritage and festive fun.

Its annual carnival programme includes the season opening on 11 November, the “Närrische Mütze” celebration, Weiberfastnacht and a small Rose Monday parade. Members also visit local events and represent the club with a beer stand at Gevelsberg’s annual fair on the last weekend of June. The association celebrated its 44th anniversary in the 2022/23 season and continues to invite new people to take part.

Alongside its events, Ka. Ge. Grün-Weiß shares news, schedules and information about its prince and princess couples, club members, volunteers and history. Its calendar includes public celebrations as well as some gatherings for invited guests.
