## Description

Kaizen Lab is the technical division of Zenilify Consulting, a Mexico-based consultancy focused on operational excellence, quality, and digital transformation for manufacturing. The lab is built in public with a lean, evidence-led approach: each project begins with a baseline, tests one change at a time, and documents results, failures, and lessons. Its work spans smart home and IoT systems, including ESP32 and ESPHome devices, sensors, and Home Assistant automations; self-hosted infrastructure such as virtualisation, backups, identity, reverse proxies, and private networking; and local AI tools for voice assistance, transcription, and image generation. Kaizen Lab also prototypes and tests DIY hardware, documenting components and performance before making recommendations. Build logs, reviews, and measured results are shared through its website and Medium publication, with live lab metrics available on its KPI board. The lab’s technology and findings can also inform fixed-scope pilots for plants, workshops, and offices through Zenilify Consulting. Kaizen Lab welcomes community contributions, questions, collaborations, and hardware samples.
