## Description

Kalmasın is a food-waste reduction platform that connects consumers with businesses offering surplus food at discounted prices. Through its mobile app, users can discover nearby participating businesses, browse available items, reserve a selection and pay in advance. They then collect their orders from the business at the stated pickup time. The platform says customers can buy these products for around one-third of their usual price, making food more affordable while helping prevent edible goods from going to waste.

Kalmasın also supports businesses that want to sell their remaining products rather than discard them. Businesses can register for free by submitting their details for membership approval, then use the service to reach consumers and earn revenue from surplus stock. The company presents its work as a way to benefit consumers, food producers, the economy and the environment. By encouraging the consumption of remaining food, Kalmasın aims to reduce waste and its associated environmental impact, including carbon emissions.
