## Description

天満天神繁昌亭（上方落語協会） is a public interest corporation composed of rakugo performers primarily active in the Kansai region. Based in Tenjinbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka, the organization was established in 1957 with the mission of promoting and preserving the art of rakugo, a form of traditional Japanese comedic storytelling, as well as other forms of variety entertainment. Their website features announcements from the association, information about the rakugo performers affiliated with the association, and details about their original merchandise. The current chairman is the 6th generation of the Katsura Bunshi rakugo family. The association is dedicated to contributing to the development of culture through the preservation and transmission of the traditions of rakugo. Through their activities, they promote the spread of rakugo, organize regular rakugo performances, support the training of young rakugo performers, and engage in various other endeavors necessary to achieve their objectives.
