## Description

Oshiro Dojo Schwerte is a small martial arts school in Schwerte dedicated to traditional Okinawan disciplines. It teaches Shima-ha Shorin-ryu Karate and Yamanni-ryu Kobujutsu, with training arranged in small groups and often offering one-to-one guidance. The dojo welcomes students from age nine to over 60 and describes its atmosphere as family-oriented. Its approach is non-competitive, focusing instead on the traditional aims of martial arts: maintaining physical health, developing self-defence skills and fostering personal and mental growth.

Training covers karate and kobujutsu, including kata, or formal movement sequences. The school also shares information about the history and forms of Yamanni-ryu Kobujutsu, as well as related martial arts topics such as battojutsu. Oshiro Dojo Schwerte is a member of the Ryukyu Bujutsu Kenkyu Doyukai, under the guidance of Oshiro Toshihiro Shihan, identified on the site as a ninth dan in Shorin-ryu Karate and an eighth dan in Yamanni-ryu Kobujutsu. The dojo publishes training information, beginner course details, schedules and seminar dates.
