## Description

Goju-Kai-Dojo Heilbronn e.V. is a nonprofit karate club in Heilbronn, Germany, founded in 1974 and dedicated to the traditional Goju-Ryu style. Led by an experienced coaching team, including co-founder and grandmaster Hanshi Tokio Funasako, the club welcomes children from age seven, teenagers, and adults, with training suited to different ages and abilities. Its classes develop fitness, strength, endurance, flexibility, concentration, discipline, confidence, and composure, while teaching respect, patience, and consideration for others. Karate is presented as a practice for self-defense, not aggression, and students can develop their skills through kata and kumite. The club offers regular training at several Heilbronn sports halls, a free introductory session, and a family discount on membership. Additional activities include “Karate im Pfühli,” an open outdoor session in Pfühlpark, and children’s and youth camps combining karate with nature, games, and community activities. As a volunteer-run association, Goju-Kai-Dojo aims to make traditional karate accessible while fostering health, self-reliance, and enjoyment in a welcoming group.
