## Description

Suomen Kardiologiset Hoitajat SKH ry is a Finnish association that brings together nurses and other professionals working in cardiac care and heart health. Founded in 1992, it connects specialists across both secondary and primary healthcare, including ambulance services, emergency departments, diagnostic and procedural units, cardiac monitoring and intensive care, hospital wards, outpatient clinics, and health centres.

The association supports the care of people with heart disease through every stage, from acute illness and recovery to prevention and long-term self-management. Its members help address cardiovascular risk factors, guide patients in caring for themselves, and support patients and their loved ones, including near the end of life.

SKH ry provides professional development and community for its members. It organises two training days each year and publishes Kardioskooppi, described as Finland’s only publication aimed at cardiac nurses. Members can also participate in specialist groups focused on prevention and rehabilitation, invasive procedures, heart rhythm care, heart failure, and cardiac nursing for children and young people.
