## Description

Karen Frankel is a Western Australian artist based in Perth, creating glassware and mixed-media paintings. Her work reflects her Australian setting and includes glass commissions, such as Lady Bear, a glass horse project whose finished piece and creative process are featured on her blog. Through her website, Karen shares her artwork, a gallery, shop, and articles about her practice.

Alongside her art, Karen offers drawing education for people who want to develop their skills, including those who feel they lack talent or do not know how to begin. Her book, Get Drawing, launched in 2020 and draws on her extensive experience teaching drawing. It introduces core principles and practical ways to apply them, with gentle guidance, Watchpoints highlighting common errors, and QR codes linking to demonstration videos. The book is available in print and PDF formats, and a related community provides another way to engage with the learning experience. Karen’s work brings together visual creativity, hands-on teaching, and accessible resources for aspiring artists.
