## Description

Karibu – Insieme per Crescere O.N.L.U.S. is an Italian volunteer association based in Ravenna that supports orphaned, poor and sick children in Mtwango, a large village in Tanzania’s African savanna, about 850 kilometres from Dar es Salaam. Its work focuses on providing children with medical care and practical and personal support, particularly where basic necessities and services are lacking. The association raises funds and carries out initiatives to improve conditions for children and the wider community. Its projects in Senegal have included a sewing school, a classroom, a computer room and dormitory, water wells, a stable and a gynaecology centre. These initiatives reflect a broad approach to community support, addressing education, access to water, health and daily needs. The organisation also shares information about its mission, completed projects and volunteer trips, and invites people to learn how to help. Karibu’s activities are rooted in volunteer commitment and aim to offer children who face poverty, illness and isolation meaningful assistance and opportunities to grow.
