We opened our doors in October 2014, becoming the county's first fully plant-based restaurant. However, Karmana is more than just a restaurant – it's a concept that supports artists, music, and fosters a true sense of community. The name Karmana is derived from the Sanskrit word, meaning deed, work, or action, representing a state of consistency and alignment. We are committed to giving back to society, and a percentage of our net profit goes towards good causes. At Karmana, you can indulge in our delicious and nutritious plant-based (Sattvic) food. Our menu takes inspiration from around the globe, with a focus on regions where a plant-based diet has been the norm for generations. All our food is 100% vegan, and we use herbal spices like ginger, garlic, turmeric, and more for flavor and health benefits. Ordering takeaway from Karmana is easy – you can order online through our newly designed web portal or over the phone. If you like your food spicy, just let us know, and we'll make it hot for you using green chili. We also offer loyalty rewards for those who order through our website. Please note that while we have gluten-friendly options, they are not recommended for individuals with gluten sensitivity or Coeliac/Celiac disease, as we cannot guarantee that our food is completely gluten or allergen-free. In light of the current pandemic, we prioritize the well-being of our staff and customers. Our takeaway containers and bags have been stocked in advance, and we maintain a rigorous cleaning and sanitization routine. Our 5-star hygiene rating and adherence to government guidelines ensure a safe dining experience. For dine-in customers, we offer a weather-proof and heated garden seating area with a maximum capacity of 14 people at a time. Our dishes and drinks are served in earth-loving palm leaf plates and cutlery. We take sanitation seriously, using a fog machine to sanitize the restaurant daily and wiping touchpoints with special wipes. At Karmana, we believe that food is a dynamic force that interacts with our physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual levels. Our menu is carefully curated to exclude all animal products, including meat, poultry, fish, dairy, and honey to provide a truly plant-based experience.
