## Description

Kasi Maths is a South African nonprofit mathematics program that runs a fun, interactive after-school enrichment hub for students from underprivileged township schools. Its mission is to help young people strengthen their mathematical skills, build confidence, enjoy learning maths, and prepare for mathematics at matric level and STEM studies at tertiary level. The program began after South African team members took part in the TechWomen US Exchange Program in 2017 and secured a grant to address a socioeconomic challenge in their home country. In January 2018, Kasi Maths partnered with the US Embassy and Tlhatlogang School in Soweto to launch its first hub at the Rosa Parks Library. Sessions have included homework support and mathematics lessons, as well as activities in electronics, robotics, coding, 3D printing, science, and chemistry. By connecting classroom concepts to practical, real-world experiences, Kasi Maths aims to make learning engaging and show students that mathematics is useful in everyday life. The organization also hopes to expand its reach to more students across South Africa.
