## Description

Kate E. Burke is an artist and designer whose work brings illustration, pattern, textiles, and fashion together. Inspired by the natural world, she translates intricate forms into expressive ink marks, watercolor drawings, and digital illustrations. She develops these images into graphic repeating patterns, surface designs, and printed fabric, while also experimenting with dyes to produce vibrant, organic color mixes. Through these processes, Burke explores art as a way to document life, memories, and experience.

Her practice extends beyond visual artwork to consider how pattern and color can shape textiles, clothing, and accessories. Guided by the belief that color and pattern can add joy to everyday life, she aims to foster joy and self-confidence through her creative work. Burke maintains her studio in the historic Strawberry Hill neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas. Visitors to her website can explore her work and journal, shop her offerings, and find information about fabric and artwork licensing. The site also invites visitors to contact her and sign up for her artist newsletter.
