## Description

Katelyn’s Krusade is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2013 and inspired by founder’s daughter Katelyn, who was born with Spina Bifida. Based on Maryland’s Eastern Shore since 2017, the organization supports children with special needs and their families through faith, community, and safe, developmentally appropriate play.

Its mission is to help children access toys and equipment that support their development and accommodate their changing needs. Although the adapted toy library does not currently have a physical location, Katelyn’s Krusade provides adapted toys and, in some cases, adapted Power Wheels cars. The organization also aims to offer workshops that teach families how to adapt toys and cars, promote physical development through fitness and athletic programs, and connect parents and siblings with support and resources.

Katelyn’s Krusade shares information about Spina Bifida, Katelyn’s story, news, events, and helpful resources. Fundraising proceeds support children with special developmental and medical needs and advance the organization’s mission. Donations are tax deductible, and families can contact the organization to learn more about its services.
