## Description

American Katerra is a Texas-based structural steel fabricator serving projects across the United States. Founded in 2024, the company describes itself as AI-native, using a digital workflow that connects design models, fabrication, and delivery. Its team creates steel details and fabrication-ready models in Tekla and BIM, with shop and erection drawings coordinated to support work from the model through to the field.

The company fabricates beams, columns, and connections, with welding performed to the AWS D1.1 structural welding code and quality checked through a three-stage process. Its offerings also include Green Steel and embodied-carbon documentation for project, LEED, and ESG reporting. Related services include steel detailing and BIM, life cycle assessment, supply chain management, logistics coordination, and robotic fabrication. American Katerra also provides robotic welding systems and promotes Green Carbon Steel™, Blue Carbon Steel™, and Green Information Modeling™, which connects carbon data to the project model. Backed by the manufacturing discipline of Yamaguchi Heavy Industries Ltd., the company combines Japanese engineering precision with U.S. project execution and invests in its San Antonio workforce.
