Despite facing setbacks like the devastating Hurricane Iniki in 1992, Kauai Coffee made a remarkable comeback. Today, their harvest exceeds the volume of coffee produced by the entire Kona region. The blossoms, delicate and fragrant, develop into coffee cherries, which are then harvested from October to December. With a continuous 24/7 harvest using three shifts, Kauai Coffee ensures that only the ripest cherries are selected. The wet processing ensures the removal of the fruit pulp, leaving behind the valuable coffee bean.
