## Description

The Finnish Society for Urban Studies is a scholarly association dedicated to advancing multidisciplinary urban research in Finland. It brings researchers together, promotes awareness of the importance of urban studies, and participates in international collaboration among urban researchers. The Society also encourages wider public discussion of urban and regional policy, the development of cities, and urban culture.

Its work centers on knowledge-sharing and scholarly exchange. The Society organizes researcher meetings, conferences, and discussion events, creating opportunities to engage with current topics in urban research. A key forum is the annual Urban Research Days, which brings participants together to consider research and issues related to cities and urban life.

Through its events and communications, the Society connects people working in urban studies and helps bring research into broader societal conversations. Its website features current news and columns, information about the board and membership, and archives of earlier articles and events. The Society provides information in Finnish, Swedish, and English, and offers separate contact channels for general inquiries and communications matters.
