## Description

The Karate- and Budo-Club Winterthur is a Swiss martial arts and self-defence club, established in 1966 and described as one of the country’s oldest organisations of its kind. Based in Winterthur, it offers a broad training programme centred on its Karate-All-Kampf system, alongside self-defence instruction and regular dojo training. The club welcomes children, young people and adults, and invites prospective members to try a session.

In addition to ongoing training, the club runs courses for different groups and needs. These have included women’s self-defence courses, school and youth programmes, holiday sports sessions, and tailored workshops for groups such as scouts. Some courses focus on practical safety, including personal security on the way to school. The club also shares information about its activities, training and events through its website and news updates. Its aim is to support both physical and mental fitness through martial arts practice, while making self-defence education accessible to the local community. Prospective participants can contact the club for further information or to arrange a trial training session.
