## Description

The National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) is the umbrella organization for Germany’s 17 regional Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. It organizes nationwide, locally accessible outpatient care and represents the interests of physicians and psychotherapists who provide services under the statutory health insurance system at the federal level. The KBV supports medical practices through guidance and information on topics such as billing, digital health infrastructure, practice management, quality assurance, prescriptions, and patient care. Its resources cover areas including psychotherapy, prevention, vaccination, palliative care, rehabilitation, and specialized outpatient services. The organization also publishes legal and policy information, statistics, reports, practical tools, and updates for healthcare providers. Through statements, campaigns, press communications, and public resources, the KBV contributes to national discussions on healthcare policy, funding, regulation, and digital innovation. Its website offers information for practices and healthcare IT providers, alongside news and materials on issues such as crisis preparedness, appointment services, and the protection of sensitive health data.
