KC Digital Drive is a non-profit organization on a mission to make Kansas City a digital leader and improve the quality of life for all its residents. As the first Google Fiber Community in the nation, Kansas City underwent a major digital transformation, but soon faced issues of digital equity. KC Digital Drive was established to address these inequalities and harness the power of new technology to create meaningful, inclusive use cases and economic opportunities. The organization focuses on technology infrastructure, data, meaningful use cases, new businesses and services, equity and inclusion, and tech literacy. Under its three strategic pillars of Solutions Lab, Community Building, and Project Delivery, KC Digital Drive aims to close the digital divide, drive digital innovation, and position Kansas City as a capital of civic innovation. By connecting everyone to affordable broadband Internet, fostering digital innovation, and building Kansas City's reputation as a thoughtful adopter of technology, KC Digital Drive is paving the way for a more inclusive and prosperous digital future for the region.
