## Description

Karate Clube de Faro is a karate club based in Faro, Portugal, founded on 17 December 1987. Focused on Shito-Ryu karate, the club combines physical and technical training with an emphasis on discipline, respect, character and personal development. Its central mission is to help children and teenagers build the values and confidence to face challenges in society, while welcoming people interested in both traditional practice and competitive sport.

The club offers training across three complementary areas: formation for young students, competition, and traditional karate. Competition is a key part of its programme, and the club highlights national and international results among its athletes. Recent achievements include European titles and medals in cadet kata and kumite, alongside national championship success across cadet and junior categories.

Karate Clube de Faro trains at its headquarters on Rua Dr. António Bernardo da Cruz and at the municipal sports pavilion in Penha. New students are invited to try several classes free of charge, with no commitment and no need for a karate uniform at the outset; comfortable sportswear is sufficient.
