## Description

KC Tech Council is an independent nonprofit membership organization dedicated to fortifying and advancing the tech hub of the Midwest. Collaborating with industry leaders, they strive to bolster and promote the burgeoning tech industry in Kansas City. Their work revolves around three key strategic pillars. First, they focus on providing Industry Access, connecting and empowering the 100,000+ tech workers in Kansas City through events like The CEO Retreat, Access : Granted, Executive Roundtable Series, and their Byte by Byte podcast. Secondly, they prioritize Workforce Development, recognizing that a strong tech talent pipeline is vital for any thriving tech hub. They employ both short-term and long-term solutions to bridge the region's tech talent gap, including a tech apprenticeship program launched in 2021. Lastly, KC Tech Council engages in Policy Advocacy, advocating for legislation that fosters the growth and success of the tech industry. Led by their Policy Committee of industry leaders, they actively monitor and address emerging issues impacting the industry, ensuring that their members stay informed and empowered.
