# Karaté Club Valais - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `kcvalais.ch` ## Description Karaté Club Valais is a martial arts school based in Sion, Switzerland, with more than 500 members training across 12 dojos in Valais. Led by Olivier Knupfer since 1994, the club combines traditional instruction with teaching adapted to participants’ ages, experience and abilities. Its central aim is to support personal development through quality education for young people and values such as respect, courage, self-control and confidence. The club offers Shotokan karate classes for children and adults, as well as parent-and-child Baby Karate, kick boxing, Wing Chun kung fu, Systema and self-defence. Training is available at the main Sion dojo and other locations across the canton, with children’s karate taught at 12 dojos. The club also provides individual coaching and holds workshops, grading examinations and competitions. While it has an extensive record of Swiss and international medals, competition is not its primary purpose; the focus is on helping each student develop physically and mentally and give their best.
