Keenious is a brand that strives to ignite passion in students and researchers. With a strong partnership with numerous universities, Keenious has developed the user-friendly tool called the Keenious Research Explorer. This innovative tool allows individuals to access valuable knowledge and information that they may not have even known existed. The aim of Keenious is to support and enable success in academic pursuits. The story behind Keenious is fascinating. It all started with CEO and co-founder Frode Opdahl, who was tackling a challenging problem while working on his master's thesis on AI-based article recommendations. Despite using traditional search engines and databases, Frode struggled to find the research papers he needed. This realization led Frode to develop a prototype website that allowed users to input text and receive a list of related Wikipedia articles. The overwhelming response from over 150 students and researchers inspired Frode and co-founder Anders to bring their vision to life. Keenious secured funding from the Research Council of Norway and the European Union's research and innovation program to develop a proof-of-concept using research papers. This caught the attention of librarians at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, leading to a collaboration with Innovation Norway and the creation of Keenious. Now, researchers and students can easily access the information they need with the help of Keenious. The brand is excited to continue this journey and see where it takes them.
