## Description

Maithili Thakur is a prominent figure in the realm of traditional and classical music in India, known for her versatility as a singer. At just 26, she made headlines not only as a celebrated artist but also as a young member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, having won her seat in the 2025 elections under the Bharatiya Janata Party. Maithili has a vast repertoire of songs in various languages, including Hindi, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Urdu, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and English. She has gained a significant following on YouTube, where her dedication to promoting folk and classical music shines through.

Recently, Maithili gained attention for her choice of transportation—a luxurious Rolls Royce, which sparked controversy on social media, with critics questioning the lifestyle of public figures. In response, actress Kangana Ranaut defended Maithili, emphasizing that serving the public doesn't require a sacrifice of personal comforts. Maithili's commitment to cultural heritage and political engagement illustrates a unique blend of art and responsibility, making her a notable brand in both the music and political arenas.
