## Description

Keighley and District Local History Society is a dedicated local history society that aims to preserve and share the unique and interesting history of Keighley and the surrounding areas. Founded in 2004, the society works to collect, preserve, understand, and ultimately share the vast and varied heritage of the local area. Run by a committee on behalf of its members, the society holds monthly speaker meetings covering a variety of subjects related to local history. These meetings are open to everyone and provide an opportunity for learning and exploration. The society's physical archives include books, publications, documents, photographs, and other media projects completed by members, as well as small objects relevant to the area. Additionally, a digital archive is available for online research. Keighley and District Local History Society also collaborates with local partners to help open up their own archives. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a researcher, or simply curious about the fascinating past of this area, this society offers an invaluable resource.
