Description
The Kellin Foundation strengthens resilience among children, families, adults, and communities through trauma-informed behavioral health services focused on prevention, treatment, and healing. We break cycles of trauma that contribute to mental health and substance use challenges, providing free services to help individuals process their experiences, practice new skills, and gain confidence to chart new courses for themselves and their families.
Founded in 2013 by Dr. Kelly Graves and Lindy Beauregard in Greensboro, NC, the Kellin Foundation began with two part-time staff members, responding to the community's need for trauma-informed treatment services. By 2016, with donor support, we opened our first clinic doors, extending services to uninsured and underinsured community members. Today, we assist over 12,000 individuals each year, offering evidence-based counseling, peer support, advocacy, and case coordination services.
Our team of professionals promote mental and emotional well-being, providing training and facilitating collaborations to build a stronger Guilford County. Our dedication has earned recognition as a National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) clinic, a center of excellence for integrated care for mental health and substance use disorders, and a certified North Carolina Family Resource Center.
In 2022, we merged with Mental Health Greensboro, the longest-standing local mental health nonprofit in our area. This merger combined 84 years of mental health advocacy, enhancing our capacity to provide comprehensive community behavioral health services.
In 2023, we received a generous gift—a 35,000-square-foot building for The Kellin Foundation Hope Hub. The Hope Hub employs a comprehensive approach to prevention and treatment, offering a unified space where people of all ages can access mental health services and integrated offerings from community partners. This facility allows us to extend our reach, creating a unified space for comprehensive care.
