## Description

Kent Online Parish Clerks is a volunteer-led project providing free genealogical and historical information about the parishes and people of Kent, England. Its worldwide group of contributors supports family historians researching Kent ancestors and local communities. The website brings together parish pages, indexes, transcripts, and links to other records and resources. It reports coverage of 287 Kent parishes, 891 web pages, 1,943 newspaper extracts, 2,952 unique family groups, and more than 365,000 unique entries in its indexes and transcripts.

Visitors can explore parish listings and historical material, including will transcripts, cemetery and crematoria information, census dates, maps, and research guidance. Additional collections cover occupations, coastguards and stations, photographers, pubs and brewers, family groups, and local features such as the Cinque Ports. The site also offers articles on Kent history and advice for researching ancestors, alongside FAQs, an address directory, and a bibliography. Volunteers can contribute to the project, and users can find contact details and information about upcoming events.
